A couple days ago I was listening to the song, Teenage Dream by Katy Perry.  There’s a part at the beginning where she says,

“You think I’m pretty without any make-up on.”

This part reminded me of Dan.  He is such a great husband.  There have been many times when I wake up in the morning and he says, “You’re so beautiful.”  I often think to myself, yeah right.  But while I was listening to this song I was reminded he really does think I’m beautiful and I should try to see myself the way he sees me.

My stomach’s too big

I am too tall

Am I even pretty at all?

I have beautiful hair

My eyes are pretty

I can sometimes be very witty

My smile can light up a room

When I help others I am over the moon

No matter what we look like

God loves you and me alike

Poetry might not be my strength but I thought it would be fun to try.  Feel free to write your own poem in the comments.
