I love nature.  I am so thankful we are blessed with a big yard in the country.   I love being able to walk around our yard and see wildflowers.  I love seeing the beautiful leaves change color.  I like watching snow as long as it’s outside and I’m inside.  The other day I was walking around our yard and I thought it was so cool that the leaves on the trees were in the process of changing color.  Being in the beauty of nature makes me happy.

Summer is my favorite season.  I love warm weather.  I’m not a big fan of being cold but there is so much beauty in every season.  In the summer there are beautiful wildflowers, trips to the beach, and sometimes we have family vacations.  In the fall there’s the beautiful changing leaves.  When they fall off the trees they are often crunchy and they are fun to step on.  Sometimes I still like to act like a kid.  In the winter there’s… Christmas?  Okay, winter is really not my favorite but there are good things about everything.  Seeing a dusting of snow on the trees is very pretty.  Celebrating Christmas with Dan and M.J. is so much fun.  Dan really loves Christmas and I think M.J. is definitely following in his footsteps.  Christmas is so much more fun when your loved ones love it so much.  The other day, Dan and M.J. went to Menard’s and they had Christmas decorations out (yes, already).  Dan told me M.J. was so excited.  He was running around and looking at all the decorations and saying, “It’s so beautiful!”  I’m so excited to take him to Frankenmuth this year.  Spring is when the weather starts to get a little warmer so of course I like that.  There is also often rain and more flowers.  It is fun to sit or stand on our porch and watch the rain together.

I am always trying to find things that make me happy.  If I’m struggling with depression going out in nature is very helpful for me.  I love watching the sunset.  I love seeing deer in our backyard in the morning.  M.J. also loves seeing the deer.  He will often say, “I see some reindeer!”  It is the cutest thing.  I love sunshine and I love rain and thunderstorms.  I also love stars.  I have always loved the sky.  I don’t know why, but I just love everything about it.  Watching the sunset warms my soul.  Watching the rain makes me happy.  I am so thankful for all the nature around me.  Being outside helps me feel better when I’m feeling down.  No matter where you are. No matter what season you are in. You can always find beauty.

  1. The snuggles and struggles are real. There is only one of him and one of me, but most days I feel out numbered. Some days I feel like giving up completely. But, on all days and every day from here on after, I will love, cherish and protect my son with everything I got.
